Tell us your canna-story. What led you to this industry? What was your first endeavor and what piqued your interest about cannabis?
I was recruited to Harborside & Steve DeAngelo in 2009 after my story of breast and colon cancers hit some local newspapers. I am now a 3 time cancer survivor and helped Steve launch several projects, including ArcView & Steep Hill; crafted the 1st TV show “Weed Wars” ; 1st cover stories in Fortune and NYTimes; and helped further the movement with countless stories in major media nationally & internationally. Now a consultant in marketing & media relations & serve on several advisory boards both here in the U.S. and Canada.
What is your favorite thing about working in cannabis and what keeps you excited about continuing to work in this space? What do you find to be unique about this industry?
Emerging industries that have social justice issues & health care rights tied to them, is rewarding and humbling. I’ve met fantastic human beings in this industry that care for others even from ‘both sides of the aisle’ – and they’ve become parts of my extended family.
