Tell us your canna-story. What led you to this industry? What was your first endeavor and what piqued your interest about cannabis?
The ethos of Huck Yeah is summed up in one word: Simpatissimo. It’s a portmanteau of simpatico + bellissimo, meaning “beautiful partnerships create beautiful results.” And the meaning of results is not only about how it impacts our clients, but also to stand for the ripples of good the community at large receives from interacting with our clients’ products and services.
I am always searching for companies who share the same mentality and values, and that’s why I’ve been drawn to the CBD/cannabis industry. The supportive nature of the plant and community surrounding it – from personal benefits like pain relief to societal benefits like policy reform – is the business-for-good model we want to help elevate.
What is your favorite thing about working in cannabis and what keeps you excited about continuing to work in this space? What do you find to be unique about this industry?
My favorite thing about working in cannabis is seeing the great strides being taken to correct the false narrative of this healing plant and the enthusiasm that comes with elevating the wellbeing of their community.
What is a little known fact about yourself? What are some of your interests and hobbies?
A little known fact about myself is that I love my job. Working in branding and graphic design allows me to learn about many different industries, explore nuances in buyer personas, and work with other people who are passionate about what they do. And the real benefit is to see how many people’s lives are benefited by interacting with my clients’ products and services.
When I’m not working in front of the computer, you can find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, participating in virtual workout classes, and learning more about the zodiac.
