Tell us your canna-story. What led you to this industry? What was your first endeavor and what piqued your interest about cannabis?
My entry into the cannabis industry sprouted from my appreciation of plant-based wellness. As an herbalist, I’ve spent many years working with plants largely from a preventative health angle. As I began to understand more about our endocannabinoid system and how cannabis works in the body, it was a natural expansion to incorporate this plant into my focus. I was inspired to help remove the negative stigma associated with cannabis by presenting it in ways that are effective and enjoyable.
What is your favorite thing about working in cannabis and what keeps you excited about continuing to work in this space? What do you find to be unique about this industry?
With all of the innovation that has already been established in this industry, there is much more yet to come as we continue to cultivate the belief systems, infrastructure, and technologies that will enable a greater impact of cannabis on the lives of so many. That creative potential to reflect the dynamism of this plant-human connection is very exciting.
What is a little known fact about yourself? What are some of your interests and hobbies?
Reading and cooking are favorite pastimes. I am a fan of graphic design and architecture. I always have soundscapes of some sort playing in my environment. Like many plants, I thrive in full sunlight, so I live in the desert when I’m not in Hawaii.
